I love this job. So, before I forget…
Writing is what I do for play (so I get paid to play, baby). Particularly poetry and short stories. Literature gets me going. Specifically twentieth century American literature. I’m astounded by what the written word can make us feel. In fact, it baffles me what any form of human creativity can make us feel.
In my spare time, I run a made-to-measure tailors with my brother (hence the picture). Feel free to check out our work at fratelli-tailoring.com. You’ll be happy to know I write all the copy for that, too.
Due to the luck of the draw, I have Type 1 Diabetes. So, as a semi-selfish pursuit, I completed a 1000 mile cycle from John O’Groats to Land’s End to raise over £3000 for Diabetes UK.
During my youth, I was something of a keen gymnast. I trained over 30 hours a week and competed in the Junior World Championships. This helped me to gain the discipline and confidence that I don’t think I’d otherwise possess. Hopefully I haven’t lost those traits, or the party tricks.
